Save the crossing patrols

Brian Watkins - school crossing

Local Lib Dem County Councillor Brian Watkins, with Diane who looks after the children's safety at the Colman Road / South Park Avenue junction

Following a campaign that spanned Norfolk, a recent meeting of the Children's Services Committee at County Hall voted against cutting the school crossing patrol at the Colman Road/South Park Avenue junction.

Although the Children's Services Committee voted against imposing the £150,000 cut, it still needs to be confirmed at the County Council's budget meeting on Monday 20th February.

The fight to save the patrol needs to continue up until then.

So it's important to keep up the pressure and Liberal Democrat councillors will do all they can to ensure that the decision is upheld.
