Excellent weather and good company helped to make Saturday's session at Marston Marshes, organised as part of the Norwich City Council Get Involved Week, a rewarding experience.

Cllr Caroline Ackroyd and Cllr James Wright were able to join volunteers clearing scrub, coppicing willow along the dyke edge and then burning the brash.

Cllr Caroline Ackroyd commented, "How lucky we are in Eaton to have this excellent resource on our doorstep! Many thanks to Chris Stebbing from EVRA and Matt Davies from the Fringe Project for organising the day, and to all of the volunteers who took part."
