Labour voters are switching to back April Pond and the Liberal Democrats here in Norwich North

Labour voters across Norwich are switching to backing April Pond and the Liberal Democrats as support for Gordon Brown's government crumbles.

People across Britain are feeling let down following the economic collapse and Gordon Brown's handling of the MPs' expenses scandal. The Liberal Democrats pushed Labour into third in recent local elections and polls show Labour losing further support. Here in Norfolk, Labour have no councillors in the Broadland District.

The Labour-run city council is in crisis following the Greyhound 'Homes-for-Staff' Scandal and a damning audit commission report into the state of the Norwich Housing Service. Even long term loyal Labour voters feel it's time for a change.

Lib Dem Leader Nick Clegg has visited Norwich twice in recent weeks - impressing local people after spending several hours answering questions during a town hall meeting.

Labour has come under fire for selecting an unknown candidate from London with no record of standing up for local people.
