Parents said today they felt their wishes had been ignored after plans to close Heartsease High School, in order to make way for a controversial academy, were rubber-stamped.
Norfolk County Council has agreed to shut Heartsease High School, as long as the government approves plans for an academy within the next few weeks. This decision comes after 600 people had signed a petition against the closure. Opponents of the new academy have vowed to fight on.
